In service this desk never presents a problem so this troubleshooting relates to building the desk.

The drive rod is too short

The drive rod extends in length by loosening the grub screws at both ends and pulling out the hex rods which slide inside it thus extending it. It is at its minimum length for transport so will not fit. Should the hex rods not be visible check they are not inside the drive rods. This is extensively detailed in the instructions under fitting the drive rod. Please also consult the assembly video between minutes 4:00 and 6:00 where this is shown in detail. The unit is very unlikely to be defective.

The drive rod will not fit into the gearboxes

To date for all units sold the drive rod has been fitted successfully so please persevere. Read the instructions - Fitting the drive rod - and consult the assembly video between minutes 4:00 and 6:00 where this is shown in detail. The unit is very unlikely to be defective. If in doubt perhaps ask someone else to assist.

The handle drive will not fit into the gearbox

To date all for all units sold the drive rod has been fitted successfully so please persevere. Read the instructions - Step 9a and 9b - and consult the assembly video between minutes 6:00 and 6:30 where this is shown in detail. The unit is very unlikely to be defective. If in doubt perhaps ask someone else to assist.

Only one leg is moving when the handle is turned

The drive rod between the two gearboxes has not gone through the gearbox at the non-handle end.

This video is used for the manual desk and should be watched specifically to see how the control rod is fitted to the both gear boxes at the top of each leg. It will also show how to fit the crank handle and clip.

Desk Control App - Can I combine the use of the app on more devices at the same time?

No. There is only one Bluetooth® connection on the DPG. So only one device can be connected at a time to the DPG. The device (either your mobile or your computer) that first connects with the DPG will be the device on which you can use the app.

Desk Control App - I cannot find the Desk Control App in the Windows Store. Why is that?

The Desk Control App for Windows is only available for Windows 10 in the Microsoft Store. If you have an older Windows version, you cannot download the Desk Control App.

Desk Control App - My desk drives only a few centimeters, then it stops. Why is that?

Your Bluetooth® driver may be outdated. Ensure that the latest Bluetooth driver is installed on your computer.

Desk Control App - What is the difference between connecting as "Owner" and connecting as "Guest"?

The difference is where your personal settings are stored and whether you are automatically reconnected to the desk.

If you connect as “Owner”, your reminder and favourite settings are stored in the DPG on the desk and your app will automatically connect to this desk when you arrive at it and track the statistic sit/stand data throughout the day.

If you connect as “Guest”, your reminder and favourite settings are stored on the app on your smart device/computer and when you connect to a desk, these settings will reflect in the DPG. You need to pair the app with the desk every morning and then for the rest of the day the app will automatically connect to this desk and send standing notifications and keep track of sit/stand data.

Desk Control App - Who can access/use the data?

The data can only be accessed in your device. LINAK does not access or use any data entered in the app (such as favourite positions, height, weight, and gender) or collected by the app (statistics).

Desk Control App - Who owns the data entered in/collected by the app?

The user owns all data entered in/collected by the app. Delete the app to delete all data. Go to settings on your device to delete the app. If you re-install the app, you need to pair the app and the desk again to be able to control the desk via the app.

Desk Control App - Why can I not operate my desk with the app?

Your app is most likely connected to a “limited” version of the DPG. Only if the app is connected to a “full” version of the DPG (all app versions) or a BLE2LIN002 (iOS and Android versions only) can the desk be operated via the app.

Desk Control App - Will the app keep collecting data if I am not at the desk

The app detects if the smart device/computer is close enough to the desk to be connected to it. The app will collect data if the connection between the smart device/computer and the desk is established, even if you are not at your desk.

As long as your computer is within reach of the DPG Bluetooth® connection and you are logged into your computer, your standing time is counted in. When your computer is in standby mode, or you have locked the screen, standing time is not counted in.

Desk Control App - Will the app remind me to stand if I am not at my desk?

The app detects if the smart device/computer is close enough to the desk to be connected to it. The app will only send notifications if the connection between the app and the desk is established.

DPG - How to initialise and adjust the desk

To initialise the desk, drive downwards, press and hold the tilt until movement has been performed.

To adjust the desk, tilt the panel down for driving downwards and up for driving upwards.

DPG - How to pair an app

Press the Bluetooth® button for two seconds. The light strip starts to blink with a blue colour. The display shows the ID of the desk.

Open your downloaded app and connect to the desk. Look for the correct ID in the list of “Desks nearby”.

Follow the onboarding instructions in the app.

DPG - How to store up to four memory positions and how to reset memory

The DPG with display has four memory positions in total.

Drive to the required desk height and then toggle the “star” button until the display shows either “star 3” or “star 4”. Release button.

To store a position press the “star” button for two seconds. White light flashes and becomes static when the positon is saved.

To reset all memory positions press and hold the “star” button for eight seconds, until the light flashes red.

DPG - How to use memory

To store a memory position drive to the required position.
Press the “star” button for two seconds.
White light flashes and becomes static when position is saved.

Tilt and hold, to drive to a memory position.

If the DPG features automatic drive, tap twice on the DPG in the direction you want to drive. The DPG stops at the first stored position in the chosen direction.

DPG - Light strip reminder

The light strip reminds you when it is time to stand up.
