Where can I find a copy of my handset control documentation?

A copy of the handset control documentation is provided with each desk but can also be accessed here. It is also available in video format below:

Error code E00

You have started a desk reset and abandoned it midway. Unplug the desk for 10 minutes. Re-plug, hold the Up and Down buttons together continuously—the desk will drop to minimum height and beep, then show 065. Release the buttons; the desk is reset.

Error code E04

Your anti-collision system is being activated. Check for obstructions in both directions of movement; ensure all leads have enough slack and the handset cable isn’t swinging beneath the desk.

Error code E04 (desk not built yet)

Normal during test builds. Finish assembling the desk and mount the control box and handset to the top (or keep both stationary while testing).

Only one leg is moving

Confirm the leg cable is connected to the control box and perform a reset. If needed, swap the leg cables at the control box and reset again. Full instructions here.

Display is not lighting up

Ensure the handset is plugged into the control box and the desk is connected to mains. Note: the handset is not constantly lit—only during use. Full instructions here.

Desk will not move above a certain point

A maximum height restriction is set—follow the steps in your PDF to unset it. Instructions.

Desk will not move below a certain point

A minimum height restriction is set—follow the steps in your PDF to unset it. Instructions.

Desk is wobbly

Ensure the feet are level, footpads adjusted, fasteners tight, desktop correctly attached, and the desk is on a hard, level surface.

Desk is making a strange noise

Check for rubbing cables or contact with walls/furniture while moving. If the issue persists, submit the troubleshooting form with photos/video.

Error code AST (reset)

Unplug 10 minutes. Re-plug, hold Down to minimum, then keep holding 5 seconds until a beep; release—desk is reset. Full instructions here.

Error Code E05

Anti-collision triggered. Check for obstructions both directions; ensure all cables have enough slack, and the handset lead isn’t swinging beneath the desk.

Normal during test builds. Finish assembling the desk and mount the control box and handset to the top (or keep both stationary while testing).

In service this desk rarely presents a problem; troubleshooting typically relates to building the desk.

The drive rod is too short

Loosen grub screws on both ends and extend the hex rods; see “Fitting the drive rod” in the instructions and the assembly video (minutes 4:00–6:00).

The drive rod will not fit into the gearboxes

Ensure the drive rod is aligned and fully passes through the gearbox at the non-handle end before securing.

The handle drive will not fit into the gearbox

Refer to the assembly video between minutes 6:00–6:30 for fitting the drive rod into both gearboxes. Ask a second person to assist if needed.

Only one leg is moving when the handle is turned

The control rod has not passed through the far gearbox correctly. Refit the rod so it engages both gearboxes; see video below.

Handset shows 3 dashes

The handset is safety locked. Press M for 3 seconds to unlock. See the PDF here or video below.

Desk is in programming mode. Press M+Up+Down together until the dots disappear. If three dashes remain, press M for 3 seconds to activate the handset. See the PDF here or video below.

Handset shows rST

The desk can only be lowered

The system has set a new end-stop. Re-initialise the desk; see video below.

The desk cannot be raised or lowered

Re-initialise the desk using the DPG panel. If the issue persists, submit the troubleshooting form with photos/video.

Desk Control App — Can I combine the use of the app on more devices at the same time?

No. Only one Bluetooth connection is supported at a time. The first device to connect will be the active one.

Desk Control App — I cannot find the app in the Windows Store

The Windows app is only available for Windows 10 in the Microsoft Store.

Desk Control App — My desk drives only a few centimeters, then stops

Update your computer’s Bluetooth driver; an outdated driver can limit movement.

Desk Control App — Owner vs Guest connection

Owner stores settings in the DPG and auto-reconnects; Guest stores settings in the app and requires pairing each day.

Desk Control App — Who can access/use the data?

Data stays on your device. LINAK does not access or use data entered or collected by the app.

Desk Control App — Who owns the data?

You own your data. Delete the app to delete all data. Reinstalling requires re-pairing with the desk.

Desk Control App — Why can’t I operate my desk with the app?

Only a full DPG or BLE2LIN002 (iOS/Android) supports app control. A limited DPG cannot be driven via the app.

Desk Control App — Will the app keep collecting data if I’m not at the desk?

The app collects data when connected to the desk. If your computer is within Bluetooth range and unlocked, standing time is counted; sleep/lock stops counting.

Desk Control App — Will the app remind me to stand if I’m not at my desk?

Notifications are only sent when the app is connected to the desk.

DPG — How to initialise and adjust the desk

Drive downwards and hold the tilt until movement completes to initialise. Tilt down to move down; up to move up.

DPG — How to pair an app

Press the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds until the blue light blinks and the ID shows. Connect in the app via “Desks nearby”.

DPG — Store up to four memory positions and reset memory

Use the star button to select slot 3 or 4, then hold star 2 seconds to store. See video for full memory and reset guidance.

Configure reminders with the bell button and in the app to encourage standing. See video below.

DPG — Reset possibilities

Reset memory: hold star 8s (red flash). Reset light strip: hold bell 8s (red flash). Factory reset: hold bell+star 8s (red flash).

DPG — Set correct desk height; change cm/inch

Correct display height: hold bell+Bluetooth 5s, then tilt up/down. Change units: hold star+Bluetooth 5s, then tilt up/down.

Desk cannot be raised full stroke; always stops in same position

The system has set an outward end-stop. Re-initialise the desk per the video.
